Throughout the course of an extraordinarily diverse career, Simon has been intricately involved in some of Australia's largest institutions, Government bodies and charities, having built a forty-plus year network of experience and domain expertise across a wide variety of fields including but not limited to; investment banking, capital markets, finance, law, sports, tourism, education & health.
Current positions include as Chancellor of Monash University, Non-Executive Director of National Australia Bank, Senior Independent Director of Rio Tinto Limited, Co-Chair of the Federal Government's Disability Employment Advisory Committee, & senior consultant to Macquarie Group.
Previous positions include as Chairman of CSIRO, Chairman of AMP, Chairman of MYOB, Chairman of Greater South East Melbourne, Founding President of the Australian Takeovers Panel, Advisory Board Member of PGA Group & Advisory Board Member of GFG Alliance Australia, among a host of other executive and consultancy-based positions.
In addition to these positions, Simon has also been deeply embedded in a number of NFP company's including MS Research Australia, World Vision Australia & the Global Poverty Project Australia to name a few.
