81% Clearance Rate Achieved at Ray White Surfers Paradise’s Spring Collection In-Room Auction Event

Ray White Surfers Paradise's Spring Collection In-Room Auction Event

Ray White Surfers Paradise Group were excited to showcase their latest Spring Collection Portfolio to the market. Known to be one of Gold Coast’s biggest auction events, Ray White Surfers Paradise were bullish about the results, considering the strength of the current Queensland market.

Comprising of residential and commercial assets, 38 properties across some of Gold Coast’s most prominent suburbs were up for sale during the much anticipated auction event.

Held at the Gold Coast Turf Club in Bundall, more than 100 buyers flocked to the auction room, all eager to gain a feel for the market and get a glimpse of the how profile-assets would perform. Phone bidders from interstate also joined in on the action.

Ray White Surfers Paradise CEO Andrew Bell was the auctioneer for the event, which impressively had 17 properties sell prior to the event. The portfolio recorded a fantastic 81% success rate, as 14 properties sold under the hammer during the in-room event.

One of the more noteworthy sales was the arm-wrestle for the 'Hi Surf’ apartment. Located at '12B, 150 The Esplanade, Surfers Paradise , two bidders fought hard to secure the large 148sqm apartment. With bids flying in fast and $2,000 increments being granted, one lucky buyer ended up securing the property for $1,040,000.

Additionally, the auction at '1/29 Tarcoola Crescent, Chevron Island', generated over 300 enquires during campaign, along with 20 registered bidders. After achieving the reserve price of $750,000, the property ended up selling under the hammer for $810,000.

Commenting on the marvellous results recorded at the in-room auction event, Ray White Surfers Paradise CEO Andrew Bell said“Spring has always been a launchpad into the end of year to January real estate market, it’s usually when we get an increase in the volume of buyers, and that was certainly the case yesterday."

"There is this air of absolute confidence in the Gold Coast marketplace, we have great belief in our market he added.

“Auctions are the preferred method of sale now as it allows the market to determine the maximum price that people would want to pay, and at the moment we’re seeing a lot of sales occurring above the reserve price, because buyers are prepared to pay what they want."
