Dr Jia-Yee Lee: Commercial Ready Consulting Associate and Senior project consultant


Dr Jia Yee Lee PhD (Microbiology and Immunology), MBA has more than twenty years experience working in the life sciences and health care sectors. The past five years have been spent consulting full time to government, IT and Biotech businesses.

 

With a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Melbourne combined with an MBA from the Melbourne Business School, Jia-Yee has a rare mix of scientific, technical and commercial skills. She also has a keen interest in business management, innovation and financial analysis.

 

Jia-Yee was instrumental in developing business plans which led to the start up and venture capital funding of a highly successful IT company specialising in clinical trial management for the pharmaceutical industry.

 

Application of Dr Lee's unique skills has led to development of a number of successful business plans and funding applications that have attracted significant funds from both private equity and government sources.

 

Jia-Yee’s experience includes executive management, management consulting, business development, operations, client relationship management and IT product development.

 

Hands on work experience in R&D, life sciences and commercial sectors have enabled development of high level analytical skills. Jia-Yee is able to critically evaluate an organisation’s technologies and IP portfolio and develop strategies to strengthen controllable IP and commercialisation outcomes.
